About Honor Grid Solutions.
Honor Grid Solutions LLC is a California-based BESS fire-safety and SB 283 compliance consulting firm. We were formed in May 2025 to occupy a specific opening: the technical compliance scope California's regulatory environment has created faster than the consulting market has filled.
What we do and what we don't.
We are a compliance consultancy, not an engineering firm. We independently review Hazard Mitigation Analyses against NFPA 855, conduct pre-application fire authority consultations under SB 283, observe and document commissioning against permit commitments, and serve as AHJ liaison on BESS projects. We do not sign design drawings, stamp engineering documents, or serve as engineer of record. That scope belongs to the licensed professionals a project engages directly.
This boundary is deliberate. It lets us move fast, stay affordable, and focus on the compliance deliverable the market actually needs. We do that without absorbing the overhead and liability structure of a stamping engineering firm.
Leadership.
Luke Mosbey — CEO and Managing Member
Luke founded Honor Grid Solutions in 2025 after serving in the United States Marine Corps. He served as a Data Systems Administrator before selection for MARSOC, where he worked as a Special Operations Capability Specialist, Communications. That work required synthesizing dense technical information correctly, under pressure, with no margin for error. He holds compliance work to the same standard. Following service, he completed engineering coursework at the University of Southern California and the East Los Angeles Skills Center PV installer program, and served on the NAVFAC Engineering Internship program as a project team lead.

We operate lean by design. We don't carry overhead our clients don't need. We don't sell engagements we haven't scoped in writing. We don't cite code sections from memory when the citation matters. We verify every statutory and regulatory reference against primary source before it enters a client deliverable, and we document what we verified and when.
